Jalen Jackson, known professionally as Subiibaii, is an underground American rapper and audio engineer. Subii began releasing music on his SoundCloud page in November 2021. Although gaining very little success when he first started, he first gained attraction from his EP, WEBB. Songs off the EP such as “Zendayuh” and “DABOSS” would catch virality through TikTok, thanks to Subi’s self-made genre “Vamp Jerk,” resembling the era of the 2010’s Jerk trend and his use of pitching and speeding up most of his songs. Since the success of both songs, Subiibabii would continue to capture the success, with songs such as “Miami,” “2man,” and “Sassy lifestyle,” all of which have saw their own success on social media. Currently, as of 2024, he is an independent artist. After had releasing a couple more EP’s during the year, Subii released his debut studio album, swagg school on July 21, 2023. The album’s standout song “comeback home” would go viral on social media since it’s release. Subii would then temporary step away the self-made “Vamp Jerk” genre on his fourth EP (n)NewERA on September 8, 2023.
