Stupid Flanders is just a group of friends that range from the ages of 19 - 34 that love to play music. They are an up and coming Ska/Punk/Alternative band straight out of Orange County. But they go by Ska-ternative. Stupid Flanders generally try and go for a ska/punk sound but have been known and praised to experiment with other genres of music, only adding their signature ska style to the genre to create kick ass songs for everyone. The Music and the Fans are what they play for. The story of Stupid Flanders started a few years ago while out celebrating a friends birthday at the Kitsch Bar in Costa Mesa. After a few drinks they started talking about music and discovered that they each played different instuments, Veg: bass, Nate: sax, Matty: drums, not-worth-mentioning-name: guitar. The next week they were in a studio in Fountain Valley hammering out songs. After a few name changes, 2 guitar players, and a keyboardist, they recorded their first demo. As they attempted to start their own Myspace band page under our desired name Danger Cart, they found that a lame band from Texas had already procured that name. Their second choice, Stupid Flanders, fit and has remained their name ever since. Over the last few years Stupid Flanders have gained and lost members in an attempt to improve their sound. Their ranks have included 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, keyboard, alto sax, and the occational guest singer. With the addition of Matt on trumpet they finally have a cohesive horn
