StuntHard HotBoyz, made up of four rappers and plenty of affiliates, have released two lengthy, strong mixtapes since last year: We On Fire (August, 21 tracks) and They Sleeping On Me (October, 14 tracks). Since October, they have released fourteen tracks on their Soundcloud as well as various solo pieces. Prolific output alone, they are worth listening to. The lyrical content and atmosphere is violent and dark, full of shouting-out brothers in prison and family members that have passed. But rather than sound like every other 2015 trap and drill release, they instead seem to take influences from early Cash Money/No Limit artists. Every track has that jumping energy, the type of electric bounce to have Mannie Fresh on his feet. Don't sleep.
