Studs Up is a Boston based punk band that was founded by friends in 2006 who shared a love of soccer. The band started as a "soccer punk" band, but quickly grew to take on more diverse but equally as inane topics. The bands name and logo are a play on the term "studs up" which is a soccer term meaning to slide tackle someone with your cleats facing up, which is illegal and dangerous. The logo itself is a play on a soccer crest with the colors coming from Boston United (a lower league English soccer team).
