Stuart Penman was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1986. He is a solo artist and writes and records downtempo, ambient music that is largely guitar-driven and often instrumental. There are many influences that are present and evident within his music, from relaxed styles of Mogwai to funky elements of John Frusciante and many in between. Stuart is also involved in a two-piece acoustic set-up called Debonair. Debonair consists of Stuart and Charlotte Stevens. Debonair's music differs a great deal from Stuart's own solo projects, focussing more on vocal elements and consisting of the grunge/folk/pop genres. He is currently an unsigned artist and lives in the West End area of Leicester, England, United Kingdom.
