For the French hardcore or the Russian sceamo bands, see Strike Back. Strikeback is a band from Portalegre, Portugal. They appeared in February/March 2006 and they wanted to play progressive heavy metal. The two brothers Alexandre Correia (guitars, vocals) and Pedro Correia (drums, vocals) are the ones who started the band. They started to write music by them selves and recorded three songs. They recorded everything, the guitars, drums, vocals, and bass. The recordings were done at "Fuga" studios. Recently Strikeback recorded the keyboards and they’ll start to hit the road in a very short time but right now they still have a lot of work to do. Keep Metal Alive!! Strikeback have won a very important contest in their country! (7 July 2007) And for that they get to play at a very important festival in Portugal called Avante! Strikeback have found a bass player! Is name is Miguel Sabino and he joined the band in July 2007. In 2008 the band felt it was time to get a new frontman, André Jesus became the fifth element.
