Strictly Off the Record is a five piece with a lineup that includes two guitarists who possess a knack for raw and beautifully awful chords as well as an exceptional young lady lifting the tracks with some orchestrated violin. Originally started in 2006 by Christopher Reynolds as an acoustic/electronic project it has evolved into something a little more intricate than that. Strictly is an original Indie Rock band from Indiana providing an intricate wall of sound with pulsing bass, disco beats, massive percussion, and orchestrated violin. An odd creation stemming from a complex mix of influences like The Pixies, Pavement, Cursive, Modest Mouse, infused with local Bloomington/Indianapolis flavor.
