Storm Boy is Joss Armitage, New-Zealand born, UK-bred producer. Based in London, these are the first tracks to be released under this guise. Armitage, who has been buried away producing electronica for the past few years, has previously had success as Nowhere with tracks out a few years back on Plastic Fantastic, Polyester and Synthetic Records, featuring on a Global Underground Prototype mix and celebrated in the progressive scene by the likes of Pako and Frederik. Storm Boy brings that earlier sound firmly up-to-date, combining the best of elements minimal and progressive with techy twists to provide something melodically fresh and rhythmically impressive.
