Stomper 98 is a German-language Oi! and street punk band from Göttingen. The band was formed in 1998 and has remained active since then. Founding members include saxophonist Holgi Stomper and vocalist Sebi x Stomper, both of whom have remained part of the group’s line-up. The band’s first release was a self-titled 7-inch record issued by Blind Beggar Records. This was followed by their debut album "Stomping Harmonists", released on the label DSS Records. During their time with DSS Records, the band released additional albums, a cover album, and several split singles. In 2005, Phil Templar (Phil Regaud), a member of the New York-based punk and Oi! band "The Templars", joined the group as a permanent member. After the dissolution of DSS Records, Stomper 98 moved to the label Sunny Bastards, where they released the compilation "...4 the Die Hards" as well as a DVD marking their tenth anniversary in 2008. In 2012, they signed with Crazy United Records and released the album "...bis hierher!". The band later joined Contra Records, where they released the album "Althergebracht" on 31 March 2018. The album marked their first appearance on the German Albums Chart, reaching position 69. The recording featured guitarist Lars Frederiksen, known for his work with "Rancid" and "The Old Firm Casuals", who had joined the band as a permanent member in 2017. In 2020, bassist Lars Resort left the band for health reasons and was replaced by Sille Riot. A change also occurred in the drummer
