"Stig Christensen featuring Tim Lefebvre" This debut album is a collaboration between one of the most sought after bassplayers in New York, and the young Danish drummer Stig Christensen. What makes this collaboration interesting, is the fact that the partnership was based entirely on the internet. Relying on emails and myspace to convey all information. What this practically means is that neither Tim or Stig ever met in real life during the recording of this album. But this is a fact you would have never guessed listening to the album. The album consists of ten compositions by Stig Christensen, which direction-wise draws heavily on electronic music, flavoured with elements and the uncertainty of improvised, instrumental music. Tim plays on seven of those songs, where the three remaining acts as links between various songs, as illustrated by the cover art. It is a diverse album that ranges from the abrupt fusion-like Per;Plex, over the dirty lazy groove of "The Lazy Beast" to the odd free lapsteel suite "Foog" and on to the almost symphonic rock/thrash of "Bond meets the Mental Dentist" - taking a few other steps and directions in between. Stig Christensen is a 26 year old drummer (multi-instrumentalist, some might say), who recently finished the academy of music in Esbjerg, Denmark. This is his first solo album, which took up most of 2005 and 2006 to finish. Musicians: Tim Lefebvre: Bass Stefan Ringive: Trombone Stig Christensen: Everything else. Recorded, produced and m
