"Steward" was the self-mocking moniker Stewart Anderson took up after his main band Boyracer's initial collapse in 1996. The initial thinking was, given the enforced (and embraced) solo direction, was to go more "electronic" and "progressive". However, electronic music got very boring to him by the end of the '90s, and it was welcoming to restart the ‘Racer with renewed vigor. It's possible there may be more Steward at some point, but at time of writing nothing new has been recorded as Steward since 2002.
