There are multiple artists under this name 1) Steven Aaron Jordan, or Stevie J, is an American producer, musician, songwriter, singer, and television personality from Buffalo and Rochester, New York. Though he is mostly known nowadays for his antics on reality TV, Stevie J was a prominent Hip-Hop and R&B producer in the late 90s as a member of Bad Boy Records' The Hitmen, producing for artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans, and Lil Kim. Jordan first entered the music industry as a member of Devante Swing's Swing Mob aka Da Bassment Cru, being discovered by Devante's brother Dalvin after singing at a fashion show. Jordan would be brought along Jodeci's tours as a musician, playing the guitar during their performances. While in Rochster, Jordan would work alongside Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Ginuwine, Playa, and other members of the clique. Later on, Jordan made contributions to Jodeci's third album The Show, the After Party, the Hotel. As Da Bassment began to unravel around the mid 90s due to Devante's mistreatment, Jordan would make his exit from Rochester while convincing the others to leave. He later received help from fellow ex-Bassment member Chad "Dr. Ceuss" Elliott to join Bad Boy Records, helmed by the man who shaped Jodeci's image: Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs, better known as Diddy.
