Some say Stesha's music is blues. Some say it's acid jazz. She's been called the voice of “blue-eyed soul”. As a singer and songwriter, her styling is organic, melodic, soothing, and exciting. She is the perfect dichotomy of sexy and sweet. Rough and polished. Earthy and sparkly. Stesha defies labels and genres. She is simply Stesha. Stesha Cano was born in Massachusetts where she was raised for part of her life until she moved to Maine. After graduating high school Stesha began performing in theater and starring in musicals around the area. After realizing her love of singing she began writing songs and joined the band Juicebox, and later The Tumblers. Meanwhile Stesha was performing in a duo with her friend and multi-talented musician, Phil Kell.
