STEREOLOGICA: Rock with South American hot guitars! Stereologica is a Brazilian rock band formed in 2007 in Niterói, a neighbouring town of Rio de Janeiro. Under the lead of the “frontcouple” Mari B. and Roberto Moura, the band mixes loud rock guitars with electronic programming, as well as male and female vocals. Adding to the formula their Brazilian music roots, the result is a fresh and energetic contemporary sound with a very personal signature. But it doesn't mean that the songs all sound the same. In fact, they embrace many different styles that reflect the music Mari and Roberto enjoy, such as Latin rock, Japanese electronic/rock, German indie/pop, and rock from UK and North America. Mari and Roberto are responsible for almost all the work involving the band. Besides being lead guitar players and singers of the band, they've signed the music production of their first EP (Stereologica, 2009), including all the electronic programming of the tracks. And they've also produced Stereologica's first music video (for the song A Valsa e o Caos). The live performances have always been very warm and punchy. As a result, the band was always being invited to play on the most important indie stages of Rio and cities around. With the departure of former bassist Hugo Noguchi, the "frontcouple" became a duo and decided to play live without a drummer. The changes have made the live performances even more exciting, though.
