Stereo Burn is an explosion of grooves. Deeply rooted in heavy rock with driving guitars and powerful vocals they are not afraid to step over boundaries. But the fusion of elements doesn't stop there. It is also a combination of cultures and distances. Singer and lyricist Mikey Reardon from Boston, MA moved cross-country to Arizona in 2007. Guitar player and songwriter Nils Rurack, originally from Hamburg, Germany settled in the Midwest in 2003. Michael and Nils met in early 2008 at Scrubradio during Michael's show "The Nest Of Idiots". Their taste in music matched on many levels and Michael invited Nils to send him a song to sing. The result was "Ashes" and after a month of recording songs and emailing them back and forth the album "Ashes" was finished. A 13 piece album of powerful rock songs with a groove, memorable hooks and guitar solos. Michael grew up in the Boston area and played in bands like Drop360 and Floss, playing major festivals and opening up for Disturbed among others. Nils grew up in Hamburg, Germany and lived for ten years in the Netherlands where he studied popular music on guitar and lived for several years as a professional musician playing in cover bands.
