STEREO ALLIGATOR are a duo hailing from Lisbon, Portugal. Having known each other since adolescence, Nuno and Gomes played together in several different known Portuguese projects until they decided to hone their sound and become a duo. Although it is obvious that their influences lie in the origins of synth pop, it is their experience growing up with the music first hand mixed with coming from an old-world environment that makes this outfit’s sound a truly unique take on experimental synth pop. The band’s first international release was recorded in Spain and mixed and mastered in Brooklyn by Alex Newport (Death Cab for Cutie, Mars Volta, System of a Down) and Steve Fallone (Sterling Sound) respectively.
