Stephanie Fakih (or Faqih) is a young singer from Beirut, Lebanon, born in 1991. Stephanie Faqih was motivated by her father to participate in “Studio El Fan” in 2009, and she left it with a gold medal in the classical tarab song category. Her father produced three of her songs, the Iraqi song “Minni wa Minnak”, “Jayi Habibi” and her latest “Ghayirli Omri”. Stephanie, who released her new song at a dinner at the Coral Beach Hotel in Beirut, discussed her career with Mawtani. Mawtani: How did you enter the art arena? Stephanie Faqih: My father encouraged me to take part in the “Studio El Fan” 2009-2010 program. He then supported me by producing three songs, which comprise what I have achieved so far. After that, I signed a contract with my current manager, Mostafa Faqih, to manage my work and productions. Mawtani: Has it been difficult for you to enter the field of art at your young age? Faqih: The path of art has been filled with obstacles that I have faced since I participated in “Studio El Fan”. Imagine how difficult it is now that I am on the real art path, alone and with my own songs? There are obstacles in trying to please the press and society, and in dealing with other artists. All these matters are not easy. However, due to the presence of people by my side who are supporting me, I hope to overcome the obstacles in my way. Mawtani: Tell us about the music video for “Ghayirli Omri.” Faqih: It was written by Areej Dao, composed by Ayman Qimaiha,
