First formed in 1995, STEPFORWARD are one of the longest running hardcore band to come out of Jakarta, Indonesia. STEPFORWARD released their debut album, entitled “Stories of Undying Hope,” in the year 2001. Their metal influenced hardcore style has won a lot of hearts during their years of playing live, with energetic performances and brutal female vocals. Stepforward released their sophomore album on PARAU, their collectively owned music label who has also released other successful independent Indonesian acts such as SERINGAI, DOMESTIK DOKTRIN, and releases by hardcore group SPAZZ and LOS CRUDOS. Current lineup consists of: Jill (Vocals), Chainsawrick (Guitar), Junas (Bass), and Jar (Drums).
