Artist
Step Softly, Ghost was an emo band from Fort Wayne, Indiana, known for their heavy and dynamic playing. The band was together from 2002 - 2004, and originally consisted of Byron Wendling (vocals/bass), Derek Kemp (guitar), Joshua Kuntz (guitar), and Matt Eberlin (drums). Their band name is a reference to Doctor Sax, a Jack Kerouac novel with a chaotic, dream-laden theme that mirrors their sound. All of the members of Step Softly, Ghost were in their 20s and had playing experience prior to joining the band, which aided them in their 2002 release of the highly melodic and anxious album "Ruined In Repetition", the album featuring intense vocals from members of Ten Grand. They also had a split with the screamo band Fall on Deaf Years in 2003, as well as having two other known singles titled "Levitate" and "Cold City Cement", though the extent of their full discography is ambiguous.
