Stefan Gruenwald, co-founder of Clubland Records, Producer of SM-Trax, Nightwatchers, Clubland Allstars as well and also DJ since 1988, belongs to the well known DJ´s from Hamburg, Germany. His DJ breakthrough came in 1991 when the discotheque TRINITY in Hamburg booked him together with Jens Thele as the resident DJ’s and they played 2 years together with live gigs and guests like Grace Jones, Jocelyn Brown, Adeva, Billy Idol, Kylie Minoque, INXS singer Michel Hutchence, Simply Red, Eros Ramazotti, the Weather Girls, Gloria Gaynor, SNAP!, Alexander O´Neal, Innocence and Adamsky. The TRINITY was the hottest place to be in Hamburg and the resident DJ’s also the most important ones in Hamburg. In 1994 he joins the noble discotheque `TRAXX´ followed in 1996 by the `Palladium´ and after that he starts in 1997 with his own first productions under the projectname ‚SM-Trax´ and delivers clubhits like `Climb On Top´, `Got The Groove´ and `... Is Calling´, which have been also very successfull in territories outside Germany so the international DJ career stars with bookings in Canada, New York, Italy and so on. Also he starts in 1995 working at the records label edel / Club Tools as the DJ Promoter and after 2 years of good work he finally got the job as the A&R for Club Tools and has done signings like David Morales, Marc Van Dale, Black & White Brothers which shows that he also has the right „nose“ for the real club hits in the music industry business.
