Combining the in-your-face energy of RX Bandits and Less Than Jake, the pop sensibility of Maroon 5 and the soul of a James Brown backup band, Stealing Jane emerges from the fertile breeding ground of Long Island with a fresh new sound sure to make you move. In an industry where very few bands that “make it” are original, Stealing Jane has blended various genres of music to create tunes that gratify every inch of the ear. Formed in the year 2000 under the moniker HyJinX, this six-man unit has reformed under the name Stealing Jane and has managed to grab the attention of the fickle independent music scene with a genre-defying harmony of rock, pop and R&B music. Although their music can be classified as pop rock, Stealing Jane’s sound can be best described as “groove rock,” serving up a fresh new sound that people like to move along to when listening. Now, with a consistently strong live performance as their top priority, Stealing Jane's tireless tour schedule sees them visiting high profile venues as Giants Stadium (NJ), Lupos (RI), Crocodile Rock (PA), The Stone Pony (NJ), Club Vertigo (VT), Petrus Night Club (KY), The Bitter End (NYC), BB Kings (NYC), The Crazy Donkey (NY), among many others.
