After many name and line up changes, State of Severance was born in 2009. After recording their first Demo, the band played a few shows around the local scene until in late 2009, writing and recording their self titled EP "State of Severance." With T&M Recording, Bendigo. Not long after the EP was recorded, vocalist Steve decided to part ways with the band. The band then recruited a new vocalist and continued to play shows around Melbourne. The line up consisted of: Kyle - Vocals Keenan - Guitar Phillip - Guitar Jake - Bass Grimace - Drums Died shortly after.
