The group is led by Johan Becker, a contestant on Swedish television show Fame Academy. The group’s debut single, In the Heat of the Night, was released in the United Kingdom on 18th May 2009, having already peaked number 2 in the group’s home country in 2008. The song’s video features the band dressed as pilots with five female dancers, including Playboy model Louise Glover. The group had performed in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 2009, the competition used to select the Swedish entry to the Eurovision Song Contest, but were unsuccessful. The song they performed, Higher, peaked at number 6 in Sweden, and is yet to be released in the UK. Star Pilots’ UK Record Label is Hard2Beat.
