Based in Brooklyn, this post-punk trio consists of multi-instrumentalist members Allan Pichardo, Drey Perez and James Cunningham. With influences ranging from the Minutemen to Don Caballero, Stark & Nimo's sound cycles from driving, angular grooves through, seemingly erratic, progressive nightmarescapes. As members switch instruments and vocal duties between songs, the sound reflects their ever-changing, unique perspectives as illustrated by the band's debut EP "Not Dark and Emo" (available at http://starkandnimo.bandcamp.com) which introduces Stark & Nimo at its most minimal and primal in contrast to the subsequent digital twin single "Sad" (available at http://starkandnimo.bandcamp.com) which paints the band in a more colorful light; making use of melody as a point of distinction against the layers of dissonance which have come to be known as Stark & Nimo's anchor. On stage, Stark & Nimo employ the use of their homemade sensors and visualization software to create a rich multimedia experience that is interactive and unique.
