Star has been doing music for as long as he could remember (4yrs old) he was always singing or rapping in the mirror. Even at the kitchen table while his mother was preparing a meal he would take a plate and glass and pots or pans to make a beat (Or As His Mom Would Say) NOISE!. At an early age he was inspired by the MOTOWN greats MARVIN GAY, TEMPTATIONS, DELLS, SMOKEY, then he grew up on N.W.A,BIGGIE, SCARFACE,8 BALL & MJG and JAY- Z who all inspred him to be himself no matter what. He was sign to his first record deal at the age of 15 by "HAMBLOCK RECORDS" out of Gary, IN. There he learned what to do and what not to do in the music business, this is also where he hook up with another young artist by the name of KAPONE who today is know for being one half of the hip hop act "UK" who push on STAR to work the mic instead of just writing, and making beats doing hooks on our artist joints. Beacause STAR took hold of the mic and never look back he was able to spend time with the GRIND FAMILY AND SOUTH SHORE MUSIC. Until he left Gary, IN to stand on his own this would prove to be very hard. But a must! Needing money for studio time and to help his family he turn to hustling "whatever da street called for" was what he said when ask during a recent interview. After year's of gaining respect in "Nap" (Indianapolis) Evansville, Lafayette,and Louisville he came back home and started the group L.O.D. which was packed with so much talent that everyone of the members went out on their own
