What does revolution sound like? For S.I.C. it is the clashing of two different eras, a mashup of what was and what will be. Emboldening these themes is music characterized by synthesizer programming and hard rock songwriting. Drum machine beats clash with an acoustic kit, live bass guitar elements reinforce the heavy basslines, and lyrics tread a fine line somewhere between downtrodden and inspirational. Fronted by songwriter Tim Mizerak, S.I.C. (usually pronounced “sick” by followers of the band) is backed by keyboardist/percussionist Schuyler Howland and bassist Mike Greanya. Their high energy show that crosses between a dance club aesthetic and rocking out will get you moving, it is a show not to be missed.
