Stand Up Get Down

Formed in March of 2005, Stand Up Get Down is comprised of brothers Chris and Steve Dunne, and blood brothers Mike Benoit and Jaxon Vesely. Over the past year and a half they’ve cultivated a sound unlike that of any other band in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts, and a live show that must be seen to be believed. Naturally after all this time they’ve come up with some music they think is worth sharing on a grand scale, and decided to go into the studio and record a full length album. Their debut album, We Have Something To Celebrate, was recorded at The Principal’s Office in New Haven, Connecticut. Armed with the lofty goals of trying to revitalize the western Massachusetts music scene and beyond, spreading a gospel of renewed passion and dedication to creating art that’s unique, challenging, and beautiful, the band hopes to turn a few heads in the not too distant future.
