Hailing from between Reading and Rugby, STALEFISH1 have been making serious waves in the UK underground scene for the past year. Their blend of alternative metal, which consists of many genres across the spectrum and which draws from influences such as Deftones, Hundred Reasons, Incubus and Thrice along with many "old school" metal bands, has been well received across the board, and gaining rave reviews from many critics in the press. Their debut release, a 5 track demo "Later Rather than Sooner" (recorded and produced by Iain Wetherell at Premier Studios, - Viking Skull, Raging Speedhorn, Autonomy) set them in good stead and their stunning live show is possibly one of the most energetic you will ever see. Whether there is 5 or 5000 in the crowd, the same effort goes into every show, with tons of passion and energy from each band member, and they have landed support slots with likes of Skindred, Viking Skull, Zero Cipher, The Blueprint, PDHM, JOR and Antiproduct. Within the first few months of 2004 after writing the strong new material that would become their first full length release, STALEFISH1 were contacted by Casket Records (a division of Copro Records).
