In late 2008, two friends Laz Smith (Vocal/ Guitar) and Nathan Geeves (Guitar/Vocals) decided to get together and write some songs to simply see what could come from it. That same night, Pete McDonald (Drums) had organised a night of PlayStation, however this didn’t eventuate and he became the drummer by default. After having their first couple of practices without a bass player, it was about time to finally complete their lineup. Over the next few months, Nathan managed to coerce his good friend Josh Smith (Bass/Trombone/Vocals) into joining the group and thus completing their lineup. With each and every one of them bringing quite a diverse range of both talents and influences to the table, they came up with a sound that is unmistakably their own alongside that of dynamic live shows and catchy and attention grabbing songs. St Petersburg has ever since been gathering momentum and will continue to do so in the months and years to come.
