SQUARE1, are production duo, Silvio Pacini and Rory Cushan. Together they unite as a formidable musical entity who’s recent artist-producer collaborations have stomped an impressive footprint on the industry; including James Lavelle (Unkle), Cameron McVey, Markus Dravs and now the forthcoming union with Siobhan Donaghy. Having worked together in the past on numerous projects (Virgin Souls), the boys finally cemented their relationship last year with the formation of, SQUARE1, and are currently in-studio putting the finishing touches to their debut album which will be out later in the year. Less than a year ago Silvio Pacini and Rory Cushnan joined forces to create the production duo now known as SQUARE1. Having worked together in the past on a number of projects (Virgin Souls, Sia), the boys were already well aware of each other skills but were still working as separate entities until some time later. Silvio tells us: “It actually all came together as a concept after listening to a huge back catalogue of songs and collaborations I did which never saw the light of the day, they all had a similar sound and they all kinda fitted together... At the time I was writing a lot of my own songs but needed to get hold of a conceptual core and I was looking for something that would glue my music and what am all about on the same wall.. “ That’s when Silvio turned up on Rory’s studio’s step with a track called Styfling. “At that point we just knew we were onto something special” Rory
