San Diego, California (2008 – 2010) Canada (2012 - Present) Shayna Gianas started programming music with only a laptop using the nickname SPUNX, releasing “practice” songs through the internet. During this time, collaborations with Matt Scholey (Machinefiend) flourished. In 2011, Shayna created the project Wolfskill for her solo work, and released her debut album ‘SPUNX’. In June of that year, Matt joined Shayna and took over the name SPUNX for their collaboration project. With Machinefiend based in Canada and Shayna in San Diego, they swapped files over the internet to create their first album “AVACA”.
