The Ticket is an AM sports talk radio station in Dallas founded in late January 1994. It is a mix of sports and guy talk, with a "yuk monkey" staffed on the drive-time shows. The long-standing core lineup is: 5:30-10 AM: The Gentle Musers 10-noon: Norm Hitzges noon-3 PM: BAD Radio 3-7 PM : The Hardline In addition to a yuk monkey, they also make liberal use of "drops" to keep the mood light. Drops are audio snippets taken from previous broadcasts interjected for comedic value and often treated by the on-air banter as if they were happening live. The inclusion of their core listeners (P1's) is integral to their programming, but not as heavily caller based as other programs. Rather, P1's have email's answered, or contribute in brief environments like voting in the Emergency Brake of the Week, or the late 2 Minute Drill. During these segments, P1's have contributed ongoing references such as Vaginal Slice Born Born, which have made it into the on-air vernacular.
