Spook and the Ghouls are a psycho-billy, rocka-billy group formed in the early to mid-eighties. Their sound was original, unique, and still to this day as current as ever for those who follow psycho-billy, rocka-billy, or even punk music, which their sound marginally touched upon. Having re-formed in late 2005 by popular demand, the group consists mostly of the original line-up. Spook, (Simon Badmington), is still the ever present lead singer whose performance on stage is always as thrilling, and as shocking as it was in the old days. Simon also plays the bass guitar on stage, along with the slap double-bass. Vic (Fontane) Greener is still the crazy drummer for Spook and the Ghouls. His performances on stage are still as wild, and as energetic as ever, whipping the crowd up in his inevitable way. Although twenty years older these days, Fontane's attitude is still stuck somewhere in 1977, much to the advantage of Spook and the Ghouls. Spook and the Ghouls were signed to Nervous Records in the mid-eighties, and their debut album Whitechapel Murders was an instant smash hit amongst their loyal fans old and new.
