Spite of Opposition formed in 1997 in Jacksonville NC. Something that started out as band mates having fun turned into something much more. Coming from different musical styled backgrounds they combined their styles and influences to make a style all of their own. Their live stage show was full of energy from start to finish if you saw them you knew that put their heart into every riff, scream and drum beat. Their dedication to their music and God was undeniable. Their motto was "it doesn't matter if it's 5 people or 500 we go out on stage and let it all out." Spite of Opposition played with bands like Zao, Hatebreed, Extol, Hopesfall, Sworn Enemy, Shai Hulud and Spitfire to name a few. They played with any band and any venue whether it was secular or Christian. This was truly a great band and hopefully many of you got to experience them live and see first hand. With all of them now moved on with families or playing in other bands who knows we may be able to get a reunion out of them.
