Born in Jacksonville, FL.(Dec. 16, 1978)-- RK is an experimental psychedelic electronic recording-performing-visual artist. He is a Sagittarius and a Pescetarian. His journey through sound began very young as some of his earliest memories are of music, due solely to his older brother’s influence. His interests and influences in music are wide and far across most genres, excluding the entire electronic genre until very recently. His first concept for a sound project was to incorporate Nine drummers for rhythm and one DJ to manipulate the melodic side of the music. After tireless searches for compatible musicians to make the idea actualize, he decided to do it himself. His original demos contain vinyl cuts interlaced with electronic rhythms. The sampling of others for scratching effects to act as melody grew monotonous, and he began to learn the theory and composition to be able to express what he felt and not what others felt years before on records. The drummers stayed electronically speaking and the melody was reborn with originality. Today, RK provides an outer-galactic soundtrack to a very bizarre visual presentation, in a package he calls “Spinundrum”.
