Spinning is an alternative rock band from Orange County formed in 2015 as Floorboards, and later Andy’s Room while vocalist Matt McCarthy, bassist Garrett Blodgett, & drummer Austin Wheeler were in high school. The band expanded their lineup while expanding their sound, adding guitarist Devin Trott in 2017, guitarist Tommy English in 2018 & guitarist/keyboardist Jarrod Mancilla in 2019. Spinning incorporates the textures of 80s & 90s alternative rock like The Cure, Third Eye Blind, Oasis and others, combined with the sound of catchy & nostalgic acts of 90s & early 2000s emo & pop punk like Green Day, Jimmy Eat World, blink-182, & The Starting Line.
