Special Lonely is a four-piece alternative rock rock band from Los Angeles, California, United States. Formed by Make Do and Mend guitarist Mike O'Toole in the wake of the group's apparent hiatus, Special Lonely play a not-quite-melancholy brand of alt-rock. The group released a debut EP, [albumartist=Special Lonely]The Special Lonely Sound of Cars in Rain in December 2017, and began touring.
