South to Madrid is a DIY, guitar-based, indie-rock music project from multi-instrumentalist Thomas Galvez. Thomas is originally from San Diego, California, USA where he played in a variety of alternative rock bands throughout the 90s (Turquoise Twice, Allsoulsday, and Juniper). He also had a tenure in a 80's New Wave cover band at the beginning of the 80s revival in the late 1990s. He now lives and works overseas, teaching in international schools. When he lived in Beijing, he played guitar in a few bands, performing in many venues in the city. South to Madrid had a short-lived trio in 2006, playing live around Beijing many of the songs heard on the debut, self-titled album. Some video exists of these performances.
