Joe Grah (Jibe/Loser) is at it again. With guitarist Geno Lenardo (Filter), bassist Bill Gower (Boy Hits Car) and drummer Joe Babiak (Parallel Mind and Touring drummer for Kill Hannah) Grah is part of the new band South of Earth, a Rock/Alternative band out of Los Angeles. The band plays heavier sounding rock, with Grah's typically powerful voice and great rock from what can only be said to be an all-star lineup. Grah has had some relatively tough times musically. Jibe was a top band in the Dallas area, but could never get over that national hump. When Grah left to join Loser, a band already signed to a major label and which featured guitarist Johnny 5, it looked like he was on his way. Unfortunately, 5 decided to leave the band and join Rob Zombie and the Loser CD was never released (there are songs available for free download on the band's myspace page Loser as well as some additional tunes available on itunes). Hopefully South of Earth will bring him the national exposure. The band's songs can be heard at their myspace page here.
