Formed in Flint, Michigan in 2001. The rumors are true, ladies and gentlemen! South Bay Bessie, Mid Michigan's premiere rock and roll powerhouse, have reunited and are ready to breathe the life back into our beloved music scene. Fast, melodic, and undeniably catchy, South Bay Bessie's unique mix of rock and roll, pop, and punk has left toes tapping and audiences talking since their inception in 2001. After the departure of Ian and Jason in 2006, Louis Ramsey (Vocals, Guitar) and Joe Davis (bass and backing vocals) re-enlisted founding drummer Mike Legue and recruited uber-guitarist and Detroit native Mr. Dave (Smashbandits, Cavity Creeps, Sauce) to continue their quest to bring the finest in DIY entertainment to the masses. Having drawn comparisons to such revered acts as Green Day, NOFX, and Screeching Weasel, South Bay Bessie have been fortunate enough to share the stage with the likes of Detroit's own Suicide Machines, as well as Yesterday's Kids, The Independents, Even in Blackouts, Bigwig, Ensign, The Methadones, The Swellers, Chiodos, Mustard Plug, Krishna-core douchebags Run Devil Run, have appeared on the Van's Warped Tour, and have toured the East Coast of the U.S. twice, all without the help of a professional booking agent.
