Artist
Milwaukee quartet. Creating short bursts of heavy, silly sound since 2010. It’s difficult to describe the sound of an artist with a single descriptor. Genres like “punk” and “indie” merely hint at what an artist could possibly sound like, but in the case of Milwaukee‘s Soup Moat, the only word that comes to mind is “heavy”. A noisy barrage of distorted bass and guitars and pummeling drums are accompanied by frantic vocals. That description alone could fit any number of heavy acts, but Soup Moat are all their own. Call it what you want (we prefer “party sludge”), but the band’s brash yet oddly catchy brand of noise is propulsive and concise. Thrash, blast, puke, repeat. http://soupmoat.bandcamp.com User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
