Artist
Sixties band out of Burbank, CA. Members were Rusty Gebhardt (lead vocals), Ron Smedley (guitars and vocals), Val Tonione (keyboards), Sam Ferraro (bass and vocals) and Les Hugie (drums). Originally formed as a surf band known as the Chosen Few but morphed to early psychedelia (acid rock). Some of the members were under 18 which made it hard to work the local clubs but they managed to get air play on the much coveted Los Angeles AM radio scene (pre-FM era). Unfortunately for them, their music was considered inappropriate for the air because of various drug references. The band lasted for about two years and had three songs released for public consumption (Apothecary Dreams, Zig Zag News, and Tow Away). Their music gained a cult-like following through underground radio, hence it's present availability.
