There are two bands under this name. 1.) SONYA S O N Y A is a hungarian post-rock band formed in Budapest, Hungary in 2014. Their single 'Kitchenfloor' is already played in one of the main Hungarian radios, a video was made for the song as well. This song also appeared in a short movie called Stealing Silver, starring with Maisie Williams. Before the video was officially released on 25th September 2013. in the Toldi Cinema (Budapest), they played their first show. The band's curiosity is that the band has two drummers. It is also a mentionable information that all of the members have come from several underground rock, hardcore and metal scene, which makes the music more unique. Sonya Korbucz, singer of the band was asked to cover Tears For Fears/ Gary Jules' Mad world and perform it on Szimfonik Live 3 (main local radio's show with an audience of 10,000) with symfonic orchestra and choruses. 2.) Sonya Townsend Sonya Townsend was born January 19, 1971 in the small town of Jasper, Texas. At age three Sonya was baptized, and from that point her passion for God grew. During her school days she attended “Head-Start” and also was in the church choir and consistently participated in her local church’s activities.
