SONGØ is an international collaboration of South African singer Sisanda Myataza, (now based in Bristol UK), Yoann Minkoff on guitar, Loeiz (aka Mael Danion) on keyboards (both from the French band City Kay) and multi-instrumentalist Petit Piment from Burkina Faso (currently settled in France after touring Europe with his band Baba Commandant) on drums. During summer 2018, the 4 musicians gathered in Rennes and in Bristol to work together on their music. Their soundscape consists of pop, soul, trance & afro psychedelic elements with texts in English, Xhosa, French & Mooré. Their first big opening was at Trans Musicales 2019 festival and their first EP is about to be released in 2020.
