Artist
Son of Portslade was formed and then born in a bedroom in Portslade (a fine resort affiliated with Brighton and Hove) in the last century. He learned the guitar- then the bass, mandolin, banjo and ukelele and played with many groups in the Brighton and Hove area before moving to Scotland. In Edinburgh he has been twisting and winding in a gyre-like dervish of songwriting, recording and rapid fire outrospection. His alter-ego Olly plays a variey of instruments with Randan Disotheque. Son of portslade gigs regularly in Edinburgh and goes on occasional tours of Britain with artists such as Pog and Deacon. His latest E.P.The Kenless Sessions was recorded in its entirety at the banks of Loch Tay using only a baby acoustic guitar, a boss recorder, one mike, one mandolin, a tambourine, a bin, a bed and a cupboard...
