Somewhere There's A Fix was formed in Bedford, NY by Ian Cory and Matt Weinberg in August 2005 as a project used to convey musical and lyrical ideas that couldn't be expressed by their other bands at the time. On a trip together to a secluded house in upstate New York before the formal assembly of the band, they wrote much of what would become the February 2006 release 'To Flourish In Disease', and quickly recorded a 3-song demo upon returning home. After a short search, they found drummer Sam Schrader, guitarists Dan Manners and Andy Nam, and bassist Robby Sannicandro. After several conflicts of commitment and interest, and due to band members moving away from home, an almost complete lineup change took place, putting Geoff Russell and Maile Hamilton on guitar, Luc Lachaud on bass, and Mario Gutierrez on drums. 'To Flourish In Disease' was recorded amidst all of these changes, however the only members actually present on the album were Weinberg, Cory, and Lachaud since the lineup was so inconsistent at the time. Since the February 21 release of the album, Teddy Katz has been added on drums, Maile Hamilton has left due to conflicting responsibilities, and a four song demo was subsequently released, to be used as a better representation of the band's sound. Soon afterwards, Geoff Russell was replaced by Daren Erasmo Felix Gomez Taveras, and after a few shows, the band parted ways, with the promise of a (still soon-to-be-released) final set of recordings to truly capture the
