Solgud is a duo consisting of Simon Löhf (Idyll) and Dan Bergenholtz (Night Majestic), based in Stockholm, Sweden Simon and Dan met in 2008, attending the same classes. They soon discovered their similar taste in music and in 2009 Dan asked Simon if he would be interested in making some electronic music together. Simon, feeling discouraged due to his poor experience in the area hesitated, but eventually agreed to the proposal. A lot of time was put into creating a debut album, and along the way they both developed distinct sounds. But neither felt the album was as perfect as they strived for, so they continued creating and switching tracks, never really feeling satisfied with the album as a whole. Eventually they went on to another project; a threeway split featuring songs from Solgud and their respective solo projects to promote their newly founded label, Nemmyrtu. Planning to release it in 2011, it was eventually put on hiatus.
