I've been playing and singing most of my life. Coming from a large musical family, there were a variety of instruments I had access to in my youth. Besides playing guitar, bass, keyboards and drums I began writing original songs exclusively in 1978. I got my first taste of audio engineering while helping a neighbor build a 24 track TEAC quarter inch tape/analog studio in early 1980, about the same time I started using Apple computers. I built my first digital recording studio in 2001 and made an awful lot of noise while learning that being an independent musician is an ambitious undertaking. I gained a lot of knowledge by stealing from professionals. Honestly. I watched and learned whenever I paid for professional studio time, and also for professional engineering. I've learned enough to produce songs that are 'adequate' pre-mastered, and learned enough to know that for the absolute best sound, take it to a professional~LOL :) In 2009 I released a 12 track project A SUNDRY NOTION which were originally songs I wrote and performed acoustically in the 80s and 90s.
