Artist
Soheil Soheili is an interdisciplinary artist and a researcher, translator. Having roots in a cultural family, he started playing music from an early age, starting from traditional persian music and finally with more western instruments like guitars and bass. He started his semi-serious career in the field of arts as the musician in an independent jamm band in Tehran (2002) called Patriam, he worked as a sound technician for live shows and studios since then and have recorded hours of sounds for films, stage as a recording artist. His education includes English literature, but his field of research - literary criticism - includes other different subjects like mythology, sociology, linguistics, history and many more since he have switched his discipline from engineering to the field of arts and culture in the university. With the access to such influential sources, he never reduces his career into a certain discipline or genre whether in the field of science or culture; as he work with a variety of different media including the medium of text, sound, the video including their overlapping genres and sub-genres.
