Sofia Sandén has established herself as one of the foremost in the new generation of folk singers. She was born and raised in Leksand, deeply rooted in the rich folk music tradition around Siljan. Sofia has experienced great success in Sweden as well as abroad with the groups Ranarim and Rosenbergs Sjua, two groups characterized by the polyphonic folk songs. She received much attention for her performance during the Swedish National Television’s Midsummer celebration this year, broadcast live from Leksand.
